The candidate for this position will be successful if they are able to execute a variety of senior conveyancing paralegal duties of a confidential nature. These tasks will include working with attorneys, paralegals, and other members of the firm with a series of administrative functions. Therefore, the candidate will have to have effective time managements and organisational skills coupled with the ability to be detail oriented.

Duties and Responsibilities include:
  • Registration of subdivision, consolidation and servitudes.
  • Opening of sectional and township registers.
  • Drafting of commercial bonds (mortgage and notarial) for such institution ad STD bank, Nedbank, Investec, Grindrod (African bank) etc
  • Handle all aspects of the conveyancing process, including document preparation, client communication and liaising with relevant parties.
  • Handling bonds and transfers with precision and efficiency.
  • Facilitating and Finalizing cancellations.
  • Assist with property transfers and related legal procedures.
  • Manage deadlines and ensure timely completion of all conveyancing tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records and files.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Matric / National Diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 5- 10 Years’ experience working in a conveyancing environment
  • Experienced paralegal with both transfer and bonds experience with FNB, Standard Bank and Nedbank Bank
  • Good command of the English language
  • Computer Literate (MS Office Suite) including Excel
  • Ability to work independently and to use initiative
  • Meticulous and ability to pay attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise duties and handle pressure while keeping calm
  • Dealing with several matters at once
  • Typing speed of 45+ wpm
  • In depth knowledge of the full spectrum of conveyancing transactions is essential
Skills (Know-How Job Related Skills Required to Completed Activities):
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of basic numeracy and literacy skills
  • Knowledge of FICA
