The purpose of this three part podcast series is to discuss the pressing issue on whether it is legal for an employer to implement a mandatory vaccination policy and all surrounding factors relating to Covid-19 in the workplace from an employment law perspective. Each episode is between 10 – 15 minutes long, with two partners from our employment law department debating and discussing their views on this emotive and somewhat controversial area of law. 

In episode 2, Verlie and Michael take a deep-dive into the effects of Covid-19 in the workplace and what steps an employer could possibly implement in terms of a mandatory vaccination policy based on precedents and the current regulatory framework as our country navigates this unchartered territory.

In episode 1 of the podcast, Michael and Verlie have a high-level discussion weighing up the balance of rights on whether an employer can lawfully implement a mandatory vaccination policy from an employment law perspective.
