8 May 2019- Declared Public Holiday
President of the Republic of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa, has declared 8th May 2019 a public Holiday throughout the republic of South Africa.
Clients are advised to ensure that their shift arrangements are modified to take into account the public holiday. For those clients involved in 24 hour operations, they should make reasonable arrangements at work to allow employees to vote. These arrangements can be developed to suit individual needs and should ideally be agreed with the workforce.
