Debbie has in-depth knowledge of the mining sector, specifically with regards to regulatory compliance. Her areas of expertise include inter alia prospecting rights, mining rights and mining permits, prospecting work programmes, mining work programmes, social and labour plans, environmental management plans, Mining Charter compliance and compliance auditing.
Debbie is a well-known and respected figure within the mining industry. Debbie formed part of the drafting legislation team for the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act, 2002. She also drafted the Social and Labour Plan Guidelines for the Department of Mineral Resources.
