Sihle is a Partner in the Shipping & Logistics department, specialising in Customs & Excise, Trade Remedies, Logistics, Indirect Tax, Risk Management, Compliance & Governance, Consumer Protection (Labelling requirements) and Counterfeit Goods / Trademarks (grey / parallel goods) as well as other related matters.

Before joing the firm, he spent several years at SARS in the Tariff Head Office Division and was also a member of the Customs National Appeal Committee.

Sihle advises clients at all levels of the supply chain, including importers, exporters, clearing agents and manufacturers.  He deals with all Customs, Excise, Trade and Logistics related matters including, but not limited to, Tariff (specialist area), Origin, Valuation, Compliance Audits, Internal Administrative Appeals, Alternative Dispute Resolution, and the drafting of court pleadings.

Sihle has a keen interest in Risk Management, Compliance & Governance; Trade-related Consumer Protection (NCC and SAPS matters) and the roles they play within his practice area.

He is an associated member of The Maritime Lawyers Association (MLA) and the South African Institute of Taxation (SAIT) as a Master Customs & Trade Practitioner.
